HIGH SCHOOL PATHWAYS & ACADEMIC FOCUS AWARDS

Pathways and Academic Focus Awards encourage students to concentrate their academic efforts in specific content areas. Pathways require more extracurricular activities in a specific area than Academic Focus Awards; however, each help students identify and practice important skills and discover their interests.

PHHS Pathways

  • These pathways require a student to take and pass specific courses AND participate in school or nationally recognized student organization for two years (with some exceptions).

  • The state does not officially recognize these pathways; however, the courses and skills gained help a student in their post-high school academic endeavors.

  • Completion of PHHS Pathway requirements is rewarded with a certificate of completion and recognition at senior awards night and graduation (PHHS Pathway stole, refer to Fee Schedule).
